AI Policy

I do not use generative AI or large language models to write, edit, or style any of this website’s content.

I am not categorically opposed to carefully-supervised LLM use. I have used these tools when troubleshooting technical, dev ops, web dev issues; especially in edge-case scenarios while developing the php used for both the backend/frontend of this site (e.g. customizing templates, layouts, and Latte conditionals). However, in general I see no place for its use in a human-written IndieWeb. I am opposed to the use of machines to replace human thought and creativity and am in complete agreement with both the English Wikipedia’s prohibition on generative AI and with the broad taboo against it among the IndieWeb community.

I have used machine learning in various musical compositions in a very idiosyncratic and intentional way, in each case always utilizing a model that was exclusively trained on my own musical recordings and audio data (see Humoresques For Autoregressive Compute and Der Verstiegenheit Quartett). To learn more about this process you may refer to my Neural Audio Synthesis and RAVE Training notes.
